It truly is the best time of the year…holiday home decorating season! I am always itching to get my Christmas decor out mid-October! When it comes to decorating my home, I like to stick to staples so I don’t overcrowd my space. I truly feel that less is more for home decor and styling in general. This year, I focused on my entryway, Christmas trees, and garland on the staircase for decor. What better way to welcome you home than a wonderful winter wonderland?

In order to get my home fully ready for the Christmas season, I start by deciding what color scheme I want to focus on that year. As I have been remodeling my home and using black, white, and gold to accentuate my space, I wanted to incorporate this into my decor. I wanted my home to have that ‘WOW!’ factor curb appeal and be even more inviting on the inside.

Incorporating multiple Christmas trees in my home was important to me to feel the holiday spirit in every area of my home. I love to stick to hints of Christmas throughout my home such as garland on the staircases and living room mantle, but want my trees to be the real showstoppers. A Christmas tree in the entryway is a perfect way to set the tone for the rest of the home. I have a 9′ and 12′ tree from Amazon in the front entryway and my living room. Not only are they pre-lit trees, but are super easy to assemble! I wanted to incorporate different textures and tones with my ornaments. I love the glitter poinsettia ornaments and the feathers for a sophisticated Christmas tree feel. Plus, it looks incredible at night with the twinkling lights!

With my modern and minimal style home interior, I like to utilize the space in my entryway for extra holiday decor. I tend to focus the busiest holiday decor outside so others can enjoy it and keeps the inside of my home from feeling too crowded. Always a plus with a toddler running around! This 6′ garland from Amazon is perfect for hanging on your doorway entrance or your living room mantle. I love using the garland to draw your eyes into the rest of the space. One of my new favorite finds this year were these Amazon 6′ tall nutcrackers! I think they complete the front entryway and add that subtle detail I’m looking for in my holiday decorations.
